Crazy for Crocs

Went to the village park with Justin yesterday, our first trip back in a very long time.

Was pleasantly/amusedly surprised to see that 80% of the kids who were there were wearing Crocs shoes.

For those living abroad (or in Manila but under a rock), Crocs are today's Havaianas -- they're the latest hit footweart even though I personally think they're ridiculously overpriced, although people say they're so comfy they're worth it.

Still, what does it mean when in the midst of a sea of Crocs-wearing toddlers and kids -- my son is barefoot?

i'm crazy for crocs! but i don't own a pair... somehow, i can't justify buying one. i mean, my daily wardrobe does not fit wearing these "lazy shoes". and i agree, it's a bit over to be wearing these things everywhere. the beach, the professional kitchen, hospital OR, or a factory might be good places - not to dinners in a restaurant! maybe if i do give in to working in the fam business, i'll console myself with a pair of caymans(i love the decor studs!).

or... i can settle for the cleo model. pretty enough for casual pants or shorts. i don't see the other models here yet.

and i never liked havaianas.

patra is nice too... that's what i saw in promenade. i wanted crocs way back even before it became popular, wanted it as a substitute for kitchen clogs.

Whenever I see a pair of Crocs, they remind of Jason's hockey mask in Friday the 13th! I never liked the design. For comfort, I'd rather buy Nike even if it's more expensive.

tsaka moan is right, we both can't understand crocs fashion!! haha. i think they're too bulky!

i think IF EVER i buy one... pang beach lang talaga. :)

the non-traditional design like cleo and patra is nice. two straps across, parang step-ins lang. and there are thong models... but i'm not too fond of thong slippers.

Kayenne... Errr, you're talking Greek to me. They kinda all look alike, hindi ba? :)

Anndee -- Siguro bibili lang ako KUNG may 50%-off na sale! Hahaha! Tsaka yes, malamang pang-beach lang.
