Last year, Paoyu gave me a Shinto charm for safe childbirth. Ever since I found out I was preggy, I've been going to sleep with the charm under my pillow.
The other week, my mom gave me a Buddhist charm that's supposed to offer "overall protection."
And just yesterday, a Catholic friend of Eric's who's a new dad himself gave me a copy of a novena on motherhood. I've never been particuarly prayerful but I promise to recite that prayer every night before going to sleep.
All I need now is something Islamic and my "circle of protection" is complete!
