We hear it often, "Forgive and forget..."
But tell me...
If you honestly, sincerely, and with all your heart forgive someone...
But one...two...ten years down the line you still haven't forgotten the incident..
Does that mean you never truly forgave in the first place?
Or is it possible to really forgive... but just can't forget?

You can always forgive, but never forget. Its always nice to open old skeleton in the closet to torture your tormentors in the future.
I think, modern word for this is called "having a leverage"
The way I've always seen it, forgiving someone is merely a formality of sorts. To "get over the hump" as the saying goes, and to get on with your immeidate life. Real forgiving is when that incident has passed your mind; when you've "forgotten" so to speak, and one day remember that certain transgression, yet feel no anger for the transgressor. That's when you know you've forgiven and forgoten.
Of course, some wounds are too deep to be forgotten, but hey, time does heal all wounds - cliche but true!
Now... Sino nang-away sayo?! Ima gonna kick that person's butt!
