Day 3: Tacurong and General Santos

Tacurong, the commercial center of Sultan Kudarat, is only 30 minutes away from Koronadal. The manager of the oil palm plantation whom I interviewed did not know Entrepreneur, but he knew FHM! Figures.

This is part (just part, can you believe it), of the oil palm plantation we visited. They actually let pythons roam free on the grounds, because they keep the rats in check. Of course, they only told me that after I stepped onto the grasses to get this shot taken.

In the afternoon, we traveled another two hours to General Santos City, the commercial hub of Central Mindanao. Right after General Santos is the province of Sarangani, a sleepy town where, according to the DTI, the rich are very rich and the poor are very poor. No middle class here. Their provincial capitol was pretty impressive though.

Can’t believe the adventure is almost over.
